Can we talk about this photo for a second? I found it while I was browsing on Buzzfeed, and it really stuck out to me. She has visible stretch marks. She is an Olympic athlete (Lauren Ludwing of Germany), a seriously kick-ass human being, and she has stretch marks just like the rest of us. And she isn’t covering them up with makeup, or wearing a bigger bikini bottom. Because stretch marks are nothing to be ashamed of. She has an absolutely killer body, that she worked hard to earn. This just proves that stretch marks are so unbelievably common, and absolutely not something to be ashamed of.

Random shot before bed I decided to take with my staple products. I think I’ve finally settled on what works for me. I think it seems like a lot, but if you’re like me your products last a LONG time, especially if you’re into protective styling and rotating products. Hey Tangle Loves! We all battle with that thing called SHRINKAGE. Some people have more shrinkage than others but whatever your percentage is, it can be frustrating! Just when you think your shrinkage is the worst, know someone else’s is always worse.






also, it’s good to learn to embrace your shrinkage. shake off the notion that hair is always just about length and celebrate the versatility of your natural hair. it can be short or long, coiled or straight. love your hair in all it’s forms and focus on health! 



Very true. For all textures and lengths! My shrinkage is pretty intense and i’ve learned to embrace it. You can see mine here. Health > Length.
